While the default theme is a bit plain, I don't think Sage is ugly. One of the really nice things about Sage is you can customize the UI to look however you want

Hopefully it will have an option for more storage than 32 GB though. It would be especially cool if they made a a portable extender like Ian mentioned.

"ugly*" as Sage may be, it has an extender that plays everything (including mkv). Personally, I'd rather have a solution that works over one that just looks good :)

Portable extender would be great. There are two reasons I wouldn't want to do what you suggested. First, it would be a lot easier but me, I enjoy the challenge of trying to find a way to put a full on Media Center in my car! :) I just enjoy the fun. Also, it could end up costing the same since I need a Zune for myself.

Instead of building an entire vehicle pc wouldn't it be easier to get a Zune 120 (or better yet HD) and sync all of your lastest media to it then use the video out cable to connect to a monitor or DVD player in the car? That is what I plan to do with the ZuneHD when it becomes available. Hopefully it will have an option for more storage than 32 GB though.
